As an athlete with dreams of competing in the Olympics, Annika Malacinski works tirelessly training, traveling, and pushing herself past her limits. Obviously, this intense training schedule comes with a price. Between Annika and her brother, Niklas (also a Nordic Combined athlete), competing as a Nordic Combined athlete can cause financial stress on Annika's family, who graciously puts their everything into allowing both Annika and Niklas to follow their passion.
